It Fits, I Sits is a cute puzzle game where the player tries to fit all the cats into the box. It’s based on the internet meme where cats attempt to fit into small spaces. I designed the entire UX flow, overall visual design including UI, cats, animation sequences and cat Spine animations. The goal was for the game to look whimsical and fun, so I used 1960s cartoons as a reference. There are 12 cats, with 2 skins each (making it a total of 36 cat pieces.)

Cats
I had the pleasure of drawing the cats into different puzzle shapes. They needed to look like they fit within a specific shape and the biggest challenge was to set them up so they can be changed into different outfits easily. For this, we used Spine and the skins function to allow easy swapping of parts.
First Time User Experience
I also worked closely with the game designers and engineers to create an intuitive first time user experience and tested it with internal and external game testers to observe and iterate on communication.
Celebratory Moments
I also worked on animation mock ups and timesheets for our front end engineer (Alex Taylor) to translate into code as we weren't using a visual game engine. The video formats helped the engineer to scrub through and use the information to make the animations and know where to set up the VFX.
